UPDATED – Military To Hit The Streets: Trump Mulls Using 100,000 Troops To Round Up Immigrants

According to a draft memo, the Trump administration is considering authorizing 100,000 National Guard Troops to round up illegal immigrants. The memo said the proposed enforcement would go as far east as New Orleans, La., and as far north as Portland, Ore.

AP called the move an “unprecedented militarization of immigration enforcement.” Governors of the eleven states affected would have final approval on the mobilization of their National Guard forces, the agency reported.
