Attorney General William Barr reported to Congress that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation did not find any evidence that the President or anyone in his campaign coordinated with Russia to influence the 2016 election. In fact, the letter says definitively that Mueller did not establish evidence that President Trump’s team or any associates of the Trump campaign had conspired with Russia — “despite multiple offers from Russian-affiliated individuals to assist the Trump campaign.”

As far as obstruction of Justice, Mueller said he didn’t reach a conclusion. He said he wanted the DOJ to decide.  Barr said “Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and I have concluded that the evidence developed during the Special Counsel’s investigation is not sufficient to establish that the President committed an obstruction-of-justice offense.” He added that statement had nothing to do with the DOJ policy against indicting a sitting president.

More commentary to come, until then –read the letter for yourself:

Democrats, meanwhile, plan to continue their effort to push the Trump-Russia conspiracy theory, facts be damned.
