Ohio women being offered unsafe abortion, health inspection records show

COLUMBUS, Ohio, December 7, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – Ohio abortion centers have received 149 health violations in the past six years for unsafe and unsanitary medical equipment as well as for not following protocols and policies meant to ensure the safety of women undergoing an abortion. 

The shocking revelations come from a recent Columbus Dispatch investigation into inspection records of eight abortion businesses. 

An oral-suction machine at one abortion center was found coated with a heavy layer of dust and dirt.

Operating room tables in another abortion center were found to be not operating in a “safe” manner.

Medical equipment was found past its expiration date. 

One abortion center was found not following protocol for transferring patients to a local hospital in case of medical emergency.

Another one was found not following “medical-emergencies policy.”

The Columbus Dispatch used its findings to launch an attack on pro-life Republican Gov. John Kasich for the detail and frequency of abortion center inspections since becoming governor in 2011. The Dispatch reported that abortion centers “seemed almost exempt from state inspections” during pro-abortion Democrat Strickland’s four years in office prior to Kasich.
