‘Sound of Freedom,’ based on real-life rescue of trafficked children, comes to theaters on July 4

(LifeSiteNews) — “Sound of Freedom” — a film based on the life of Tim Ballard, former special agent for the Department of Homeland Security, and his mission to root out human trafficking across the world — is set for release in theaters across America as well as Canada on Tuesday, July 4.

Jim Caviezel stars in the film playing the role of Ballard, who left his career at the DHS as an undercover operative, to found Operation Underground Railroad in 2013. With the help of a team, he used his experience and skills to save children where the DHS could or would not.

Sound of Freedom is based on the true story of Ballard’s most dangerous undercover child rescue mission in Cartagena, Colombia. 

During an interview with Steve Bannon last month, Caviezel cryptically remarked, “Epstein Island isn’t the only island out there where they have … children.”

“It’s very important for people to see this movie. Millions of people need to see this movie so that they can realize that this is not far from them,” human rights activist Eduardo Verástegui, who produced the film
