Tennis star Novak Djokovic says he has no regrets about not taking COVID shot despite US Open ban

LONDON (LifeSiteNews) – Tennis champion Novak Djokovic said during a press conference last Thursday that he does not regret refusing the COVID-19 jab in spite of the fact that it barred him from participating in the U.S. Open.

“I don’t have any regrets,” Djokovic told reporters at a press conference in London shortly before the Laver Cup. “I mean, I do feel sad that I wasn’t able to play (the U.S. Open), but that was a decision I made, and I knew what the consequences would be. So I accepted them, and that’s that.”

Djokovic was barred entry into the United States this summer on account of a federal prohibition on unjabbed non-citizens from entering the country. The U.S. Open, while it did not have a jab mandate, said that it would follow federal jab mandates, thus barring Djokovic from playing.
