Woman arrested while protesting ‘family-appropriate’ drag queen event at Ontario church

GRAVENHURST, Ontario (LifeSiteNews) – An Ontario woman was arrested while protesting a church-hosted drag event deemed “family-appropriate” by the organizers.

Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested pro-family protestor Chrystal Peters on Saturday afternoon for allegedly causing a disturbance as she stood in a small group outside Trinity United Church in Gravenhurst.

Peters and a few other pro-family protestors were opposed to the Muskoka Drag Royalty Hallow-Queen & Pump-King Spooktacular. The Spooktacular’s organizers, attempting to support a charity, raised $70 dollars and a couple of boxes of food at their event, which featured adult men dancing in lingerie costumes for children and their parents.

Before she was arrested, Peters said: “I’m protesting grown adults who want to dress in lingerie and dance around children… There is nothing okay about this, and you’re doing it in a church.”
