Unbelievably a second shooting has broken out in America. Multiple people are dead in a shooting at a UPS facility.
Ups spokesman and head of investor relations at UPS Steve Gaut said that the companies understanding is that the shooter is a UPS employee and that the shooter is deceased. Steve also stated that the shooter and the victims were all drivers.
KTVU spoke over the phone with a woman who says she is an employee at the UPS facility; she says the shooting happened on the main sorting floor and that the gunman was a current employee.
According to Reuters and Fox News, four people are dead including the gunman. The gunman barged into the facility near 17th and Vermont streets around 9 a.m. local time and began shooting, San Francisco police confirmed to Fox News. The building is located in the Potrero Hill, which is about 2 1/2 miles from downtown San Francisco.
“The company is saddened and deeply concerned about affected employees, family members and the community we share. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those touched by this incident,” UPS said in a statement.
