In a newly released classified document, the CIA detailed the extensive campaign by the Chinese government to infiltrate American institutions. The alarming confirmation from the CIA, purportedly depicts just how Communism is still attempting to overthrow American exceptionalism through ‘generational warfare.’

Prior to the classified report, in February of 2018, the Washington Post, housed an Opinion Report about how the Communist government is infiltrating American higher education.

The new report, obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, details how a far-reaching foreign influence operation is currently underway by the Chinese government.

According to The Washington Free Beacon; “The CIA cautions against efforts by the Chinese Communist Party to stipulate funding to universities and policy institutes in exchange for academic censorship.”

“The CCP provides ‘strings-attached’ funding to academic institutions and think tanks to deter research that casts it in a negative light,” the report says. “It has used this tactic to reward pro-China viewpoints and coerce Western academic publications and conferences to self-censor. The CCP often denies visas to academics who criticize the regime, encouraging many China scholars to preemptively self-censor so they can maintain access to the country on which their research depends.”

The report issued by the CIA joins a growing call by U.S. lawmakers and intelligence officials to investigate China’s involvement on American college campuses. Incredibly, in connection with what a Florida Congressman issued in 1963, the covert campaign of infiltration has been ongoing for quite some time. Published by Congressman Albert S. Herlong Jr. of Florida, the congressman warned of 45 goals by Communists to overthrow America. One of the largest goals detailed in the 1963 newspaper is the infiltration of American institutions.

However, the origins of the communist goals to overthrow America have been traced to roughly 1919, and the origin was not China but rather the Soviet Union. Both countries are waging vast campaigns against the United States in this current day. Russia is attempting to manipulate Social Media, the Mainstream media, and other institutions, while, China is apparently attempting to vastly influence American higher education.

Again, prior to the newly released CIA document, in 1996, according to the Wall Street Journal when Bill Clinton was up for re-election the Chinese government didn’t just meddle with the election, rather, they donated. In the 90’s the FBI uncovered that the Chinese government wanted to influence the election by contributing money to support Democrats and advance China’s trade interests. However, this is not a scandal, this Federal investigation resulted in several guilty pleas from Clinton fundraisers. Remarkably, Bill Clinton was re-elected and later on China was included in the World Trade Organization.

Now, in February of 2018, FBI Director Christopher Wray told the Senate Intelligence Committee that the FBI is investigating dozens of Confucius Institutes, the Chinese-backed language and cultural centers hosted by more than one hundred universities across the country. In addition, Senator Marco Rubio, who co-chairs the Congressional-Executive Commission on China, called on the five Florida educational institutions that host Confucius Institutes to end those partnerships.

“Beijing is becoming increasingly aggressive in its aim to exploit America’s academic freedom to instill in the minds of future leaders a pro-China viewpoint,” Rubio said in a statement to the Washington Free Beacon. “Confucius Institutes across the country and my home state of Florida have given China’s communist regime an avenue to covertly influence public opinion and teach half-truths designed to present Chinese history, government or official policy in the most favorable light.”

The Confucius Institutes, which are housed in hundreds of universities across the country, are operated by a division of the Chinese Ministry of Education known as Hanban. The Chinese government spends roughly ten billion dollars annually on these particular institutions.

The Chinese government also recently released its plans to “build an international media apparatus that boosts China’s influence,” according to the CIA. However, in addition to American Educational institutions, the CCP funds media outlets;

“The CCP bankrolls several English-media outlets in the U.S. that try to influence perceptions of China and world events,” the report says, citing media accounts. “The CCP also pays some American media firms to publish propaganda without obvious CCP attribution … and harasses or denies visas to journalists who publish stories critical of the regime.”

According to the Washington Post;

To understand what Confucius Institutes are really about, it’s necessary to understand their connections to the Communist Party and its history. Peter Mattis, a former U.S. intelligence analyst now with the Jamestown Foundation, said Confucius Institutes can be directly linked to the Communist Party’s “united front” efforts, still described in Maoist terms: to mobilize the party’s friends to strike at the party’s enemies.

For example, Liu Yandong, the Communist Party official who launched the Confucius Institutes and served as chairwoman, was the head of the United Front Work Department when the program began.

“They are an instrument of the party’s power, not a support for independent scholarship,” Mattis said. “They can be used to groom academics and administrators to provide a voice for the party in university decision-making.”

Incredibly, lead editor of the Christian Journal, Emily, has a personal experience in dealings with pro-China professors, her statement about her encounter with one is below;

During my time at University of Tennessee Chattanooga I encountered professor Ralph Hood who taught the psychology departments ‘capstone course.’ His public interests include psychology of religion, philosophical psychology, and religious serpent handling. Hood opened up his lecture on the first day by speaking on his support of the communist Chinese system, claiming that if we as a country want to be successful, we must model China, a system where religion is restricted.

The course was one that you needed to get your degree, the first day the classroom was filled with students, but by the final day, less than a third of the students remained because of the rhetoric pushed on the class.

Half way through the semester, professor Hood lectured on the authority of faith, concluding that faith was nothing but a spin-off derived from the thoughts of early philosophers such as Plato. I watched as students zoned out and the professor took a well thought out attack on Christianity. He explained that science has the ultimate authority and that the scientific community has disproved the Christian faith.

While calling the Bible a diluted collection of thoughts made up and translated several times to benefit those who crafted the story, he referred to the Quran as “the word of god,” a strange statement coming from the mouth of an openly atheist professor.  In a bizarre and uncomfortable lecture, the professor compared religion to obsessive compulsive disorder and discussed universal taboos such as cannibalism, incest and pedophilia that he says are currently shunned due to religion. He explained that if we want a free and open society, the idea of God must die, allowing the taboos to be accepted.

As I learned more about the communist system, I understood that their culture is based on atheism, science, and collectivism all of which were the main themes of the capstone course that psychologically attacked all things American.

Communist propaganda has sprouted over the years like a virus, only now, decades later are lawmakers actually understanding the problem at hand. China has launched a form of generational warfare against the American populace, described by Yuri Bezmenov, a Soviet defector.

Whether it be self-censorship or to plant a pro-China narrative, the communist government’s influence of American institutions spans far beyond education, in addition, to what is taking place on College Campuses, it strongly appears as though Apple and Google are conducting their own forms of censorship in regards to free speech. Just last month, CEO’s from Apple and Google attended a Chinese censorship conference to work on promoting a censored internet.

History has proven the consequences of communism, in addition, the application of modern communism is no mystery. Lawmakers are aware of the attempts to influence the minds of the youth, and the CIA has a vast understanding of just what is going on, all that is left is action. Contact your state representatives today and demand they shutter the Chinese Governments influence of our institutions.
