20 But while he thought these things, behold, the Angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, the son of David, fear not to take Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her, is of the holy Ghost. 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
24 Know ye not, that they which run in a race, run all, yet one receiveth the prize? so run that ye may obtain. 25 And every man that proveth masteries, abstaineth from all things: and they do it to obtain a corruptible crown: but we for an incorruptible. 26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly: so fight I, not as one that beateth the air. 27 But I beat down my body, and bring it into subjection, lest by any means after that I have preached to others, I myself should be reproved.
29 And as soon as they were come out of the Synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. 30 And Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they told him of her. 31 And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up, and the fever forsook her by and by, and she ministered unto them. 32 And when even was come, at what time the Sun setteth, they brought to him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils. 33 And the whole city was gathered together at the door. 34 And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases: and he cast out many devils, and suffered not the devils to say that they knew him.
27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the Gospel of Christ, that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your matters, that ye continue in one spirit, and in one mind, fighting together through the faith of the Gospel. 28 And in nothing fear your adversaries, which is to them a token of perdition, and to you of salvation, and that of God.
