(LifeSiteNews) – Former congresswoman and 2020 presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard will be speaking at a Friday “Rally to End Child Mutilation” to protest “transgender” surgeries for minors, led by Daily Wire host Matt Walsh in Nashville, Tennessee.
“Under the guise of ‘gender affirmation,’ our kids are being put at risk by those pushing harmful, irreversible surgeries. We must protect our children,” Gabbard declared in a tweet announcing her appearance at the rally, which will begin at 4 p.m. at the War Memorial Plaza outside the state capitol building.
Gabbard, who recently abandoned the Democratic Party, has firmly defended the recognition of important biological differences between the sexes, and the protection of women’s sports, as a former U.S. representative for Hawaii. In 2020, she introduced a “Protect Women’s Sports Act” to ban biological males from competing in women’s sports, and further publicly defended it against accusations of being “anti-transgender.”
