Canadian military wanted to investigate removal of tampons from male washrooms as ‘hate crime’: report

(LifeSiteNews) — Canadian military officials requested a hate crime investigation into soldiers vandalizing tampon dispensers placed in male washrooms under a Trudeau government directive.  

According to internal documents obtained by True North via an access to information request, Canadian military officials wanted the Canadian Armed Forces’ hate crimes and extremism investigation unit to look into the vandalizing of feminine hygiene product dispensers placed in men’s washrooms as part of the military’s new “inclusion” policy.   

“Ultimately both the National Investigation Service and the specialized Hate Crimes, Extremism, Drugs and Gang Enforcement unit turned down the requests due to a lack of evidence,” True North reported.   

The access to information papers further revealed that CAF leaders were struggling to understand why the feminine hygiene products placed in men’s bathrooms were disappearing so quickly.   

“The cleaners informed me that the tampons at Waters are almost running out due to the high demand in the men’s washrooms,” an internal email from a Calgary base read.
