Trump Confirms Top North Korean Official Heading to New York For Talks

US President Donald Trump has confirmed that a top North Korean official is heading to New York for talks on the upcoming summit between the United States and North Korea.

President Donald J. Trump tweeted early Tuesday morning; “We have put a great team together for our talks with North Korea. Meetings are currently taking place concerning Summit, and more. Kim Young Chol, the Vice Chairman of North Korea, heading now to New York. Solid response to my letter, thank you!” – 6:30 AM – 29 May 2018

Kim Young Chol is a former Military Intelligence Chief turned Vice Chairman of the North Korean ruling party’s central committee tasked with inter-Korean relations.

South Korea confirmed that Kim Young Chol was on the passengers’ list for a flight Tuesday from Beijing to Washington. However, they later stated that his flight had been changed to Wednesday.
