US President Donald Trump has confirmed that a top North Korean official is heading to New York for talks on the upcoming summit between the United States and North Korea.

Kim Young Chol is a former Military Intelligence Chief turned Vice Chairman of the North Korean ruling partyâs central committee tasked with inter-Korean relations.
South Korea confirmed that Kim Young Chol was on the passengersâ list for a flight Tuesday from Beijing to Washington. However, they later stated that his flight had been changed to Wednesday.
