Canadian province to keep COVID restrictions, mandates in place well into 2022

(LifeSiteNews) — The head doctor of the Canadian province of Manitoba confirmed that oppressive COVID restrictions, including jab mandates, will remain in place until at least mid-2022.

Manitoba Chief Provincial Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin said Monday that people in his province should expect jab mandates to “carry us through the typical respiratory virus season. So, through winter into spring.”

“Obviously we review all these things all the time, but I think given the state of our health-care system and the demands that the respiratory virus season will be likely to put on it, it’s very likely (it will) have to take us through this winter,” said Roussin. “If things change, we would also evolve with what the evidence is showing us.”

Manitoba has some of the strictest COVID rules in place in Canada. Since September 3, the province has had a COVID vaccine passport system which is needed to access restaurants, gyms, movie theaters, museums, and outdoor and indoor sporting events.
