TX hospital approves kidney transplant for vet denied one for being unvaxxed in North Carolina

(LifeSiteNews) — A North Carolina war veteran who was denied a kidney transplant because he had chosen not to take the COVID-19 jab will now receive a kidney at a hospital in Texas where there are no COVID vaccine requirements for transplant patients.

U.S. Air Force veteran Chad Carswell was rejected for surgery by Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where both transplant patients and organ donors are required to have taken the experimental abortion-tainted COVID-19 vaccine before surgery can occur.

The North Carolina hospital explained its rationale for denying the life-saving procedure to Carswell, saying the vaccine requirement is for the protection of the patient. “Transplant patients are at high risk for severe illness if they don’t have pre-existing immunity prior to being transplanted.”

However, Carswell has already had COVID-19, likely giving him a high level of protection against the virus.
